I have really gotten hooked on crocheting again. In the past all I have made is blankets, but recently I have started to experiment with some other patterns, thanks to the books from LeisureArts.com They have really given me the courage to try some things I have never tried before, like this American Girl doll dress.
So I started to search on the internet for OTHER patterns. I decided to try some clothing for American Girl dolls since they were small, could be finished quickly and my niece has one of these dolls. Also, what girl does not love more clothes for her dolls!!!!! This is also a great way to use up scraps of yarn.
This was the FIRST American Girl doll dress I had ever crocheted, and once it was done I was so happy to see that it fit the doll perfectly! Now I plan on making several more for my niece, and I will have to take photos along the way to show my slight variations to the original pattern.
