This project is from the Teach Me To Crochet book from Leisure Arts. It is a hair scrunchie, and I made it in Minnesota Gopher’s team colors using a variegated yarn.
This was so easy to make, and the same basic stitch pattern could be used to make napkin rings just by varying the size of the overall project. I love the ruffle of this stitch, and I plan to use it again as a ruffle on a doll dress . . . that project will be posted at a later time.
