Quick Tip ~ Signatures

I wanted to throw out a quick blogging tip, which is also a great way to promote you site, blog or any affiliate programs you are a part of.

When you go to OTHER blogs and leave a comment, why not add the link to your blog in your signature.  Here is the one that I am currently using . . .

Notice how each line is it’s own clickable link.  The first one brings you back to this blog, the second one is for the website my family created, MyCutSearch.com

To make the links clickable, you need to insert code instead of just straight typing in the text.  It is really pretty easy.  Here is the code for my signature that I just showed you . . .

Shawn ~

<a href=”http://www.craftychicsblog.blogspot.com/”>Crafty Chics Blog</a>

and

<a href=”http://www.mycutsearch.com/”>MyCutSearch.com ~ Find your Cricut images FAST!</a>

If yo would like to create your own signature, just insert the links to YOUR site where you see mine, and then change the text, which is between the >< in the code to say whatever you want it to say.

For me, I tested this once in a comment on my own blog before I started using it on other people’s blogs.  That way I could verify that all of the links worked correctly once they were posted.  I also created a notepad file called “Signature” in which I saved the code . . . that way when I go to comment on someone else’s blog I can type in my comment and then copy the code and all of the links work perfectly.

I hope that this helps you!

What a neat idea. I'll give it a try too. But I'm going to wait until my daughter can help make sure I do it right. I'm not the most computer savvy individual.
