Free Cricut Resources – Shawn’s Handbook

The Teach Me Cricut Design Space Handbook is created by Shawn Mosch as a  great starter reference for Cricut owners.

This will help guide you through the basic tools and functions of Cricut Design Space for the desktop/computer/laptop version.  You will find descriptions of the different buttons and tools within Cricut Design Space, as well as links to videos and project examples to help you learn to use various functions.

This is my introduction resource.  When you are ready to take your Cricut knowledge to the next level I recommend the full Teach Me Cricut Design Space Online Course. In the full course I will go over everything you need to know to master your Cricut and the Design Space software.

But if you just want to start off with the basics, I offer my handbooks for free.  If you find it helpful please donate to our parent company, Landslide Solutions LLC on the About page.  Thank you for downloading the Teach Me Cricut Design Space Handbook.

Reminder Sheet

Do you feel like you always forget what the different buttons are for in Design Space? Do you wish that there were FREE Cricut resources like a Cricut Cheat Sheet to just help you remember what the difference between Attach and Weld are? That is exactly why I created my Cricut Reminder Sheet!

Cricut Design Space Combine Feature

In October of 2022 there was a Cricut Design Space update to the Weld function. It is now called Combine. Along with Weld, we now have other options for ways to combine our elements in Design Space.

I also did a video to show the new Combine features that you can check out on my YouTube channel HERE.

What to know a secret?

Guess what? I was once in your shoes! I was once a Cricut beginner! You can actually look way back on this blog and find my early posts and see how far I have come on my journey!

You can also see that I love helping people. I think we should spend more time having fun crafting than trying to figure out how to use a software program! This is why I break everything I know into easy to follow steps. And because I have written down the steps, added screen shots and videos, you will know that you have the best resources for learning.

I also use a lot of analogies in my tutorials. If I can relate something in the Cricut Design Space software to an every day situation or something most people would encounter in every day life, I feel that helps people to learn. One great example of this is how I compare Cricut Access to Netflix.

So if you feel like you are always struggling with Cricut Design Space and wish there was one place you could go to learn how to use all of the buttons and features so you could spend your time just enjoying crafting then you should check out my Teach Me Cricut Design Space Online Course. This course is like having a direct line to my brain and downloading all of the information I know about using Cricut Design Space!

    1. Thank you! I have been around in the Cricut world for a while. I got my first one back in 2008. Then just a couple of years after that my daughter started to play hockey . . . then she added lacrosse . . . then my life was at an ice rink or lacrosse field! After she was in college, she was the one that told me I should make a website and turn this hobby into a side business, so in the summer of 2020 this site was born!

  3. I enjoyed the workshop. I have manually made the pop-n-twist card, it was nice to see how it is created in the Design Space. I did not know about the scoring tool. I was trying to download the reference guide book. Do I have to have an iPad to download?

    1. Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the presentation. You should be able to download those from any device. If you want me to email them to you instead, just send me an email at shawnmosch at gmail and I can email them to you.

  4. The reminder PDF is BOMB. I’ve been using design space for years, but anytime I take a break and come back, I’ve forgotten which buttons do what.
